Glebe Heritage Zone Terrace
Glebe Heritage Zone Terrace - Current Project
The property has a front and rear building. The front terrace is stage one in the project and is being completely rebuilt whilst keeping a 100-year-old front three-story facade in place. Some foundation elements of the building are more than 150 yrs.
The façade required complex propping integrated with stages of the new structure. The basement level is below the roadway so required careful consideration of drainage and moisture issues was important.
All external components were to match the existing building and neighboring buildings in keeping with the heritage aspect.
Stage two of the project will be the demolition of the rear building and construction of a new class 2 building with two additional stories containing two residences.
